2 : Dʜᴀʀɪᴋᴀ ᴏʀ ʀᴀᴅʜɪᴋᴀ?

Dear Reader,

Thank you so much for choosing this book! As I share this story, you might notice a few mistakes since English isn't my first language. I hope you enjoy the journey with me!

Happy reading! 🌺✨

The bell rang, and he went to open the door, and as expected, it was the Rathore family.

"Swagat hai aap sab ka, bohot khushi hui aap logon ko dekh kar,"

(Welcome everyone, I am very happy to see you all.)

He spoke to Rathore's family standing outside, but frowned when he noticed someone was missing—someone for whom he had been waiting impatiently.

The woman standing outside in her early 30s smirked, knowing exactly whom he was looking for, with an innocent expression, she said,

"Namaste bhaiya, humein bhi aapse milke bohot khushi hui, lekin lagta hai ki aap humare aane se khush nahi hai."

(Namaste, bhaiya. I am very happy to meet you too, but it seems like you're not happy with our arrival.)

She said, making him panic

"Aree nahi nahi Nandini bhabhi ji, aisa bilkul nahi hai, main toh bohot khush hun, apko aisa kyu lagta hai ki main khush nahi?"

(Arre, no, no, Bhabhi ji, it's not like that at all. I'm very happy! Why do you think I'm not happy?)

"Abb dekhiye na, hum kab se bahar khade hain, apne humein andar hi nahi bulaya..."

(Now look, I've been standing outside for so long, and you haven't even called me inside...)

She said in a fake angry voice, making him embarrassed.

"Arre sorry sorry bhabhi ji, aaiye na andar..."

(Arre, sorry sorry, Bhabhi ji, please come inside...)

She smiled and went inside, and everyone else followed. Once everyone had entered, Nandini paused in the doorway, turned to Janak, and said...

"Sorry bhaiya, Keshav ji nahi aa paaye, unko last moment pe unke secretary ka emergency call a gaya ki emergency meeting hai, toh unko jald hi office ke liye nikal na pada."

(Sorry brother, Keshav ji couldn't make it. He got an emergency call from his secretary at the last moment, saying there was an urgent meeting, so he had to leave for the office quickly.)

She said with a secret smile, and the smile on Janak's face faded, making him feel sad. But he quickly masked it with a smile and said...

"Bhabhi ji, Mujhse maafi maang ke mujhe sharminda na karein. Koi baat nahi, Keshu koi zaroori kaam aa gaya ho gaya isilye nahi aaya, main unse fir kabhi mil lunga."

(Bhabhi ji, please don't embarrass me by asking for my opinion. It's okay, Keshu must have had some urgent work, that's why he couldn't come. I'll meet him another time.)

She smiled and said

“Aap bohot understanding hai Bhaiya, Sunaina is really lucky to have you."

(You are very understanding, Bhaiya. Sunaina is really lucky to have you.)

She said, making him smile, and then turned around, exiting the hallway and going inside.

As she disappeared from his sight, his smile faded again because Keshu, for whom he had been waiting impatiently, hadn't come.

"Keshu ko koi zaroori kaam hoga tabhi nahi aaya, koi na, usse fir kabhi mil lunga."

(Keshu must have had some urgent work, that's why he couldn't come. It's okay, I'll meet him some other time.)

He thought smiling sadly, turned to close the main door, but suddenly...

"Bhoooooo"

Someone jumped infront of him, making him jump in horror, but as soon as he recognized the person's face, he smiled widely,

It was Keshav Singh Rathore, his bestie...

"Swagat nahi karoge humara?"

(Won't you welcome me?)

He said, smirking and raising his left eyebrow.

"Keshuu"

He said excitedly, almost jumping on him.

"Arre bas bhai bas, Tumhari Khushi jaan leva hai, mujhe saans nahi aarahi"

(Hey, that's enough! Your happiness is killing me, I can't even breathe!)

"Sorry sorry, Itni zayada excitement pata hi nahi chala...thik ho na tum?"

(Sorry, sorry! I didn't realize I was that excited... Are you okay?)

"Main toh thik hun, lekin kuch der pehle tum thik nahi lag rahe the, tum bohot udaas lag rahe the."

(I'm fine, but a little while ago you didn't seem okay, you looked really sad.)

"Bhabhi ji ne kaha ki tum important ke liye chale gaye, toh isiliye aa nahi paaye, toh isiliye mein thoda udaas ho gaya tha..."

(Bhabhi ji said you had to leave for something important, so that's why you couldn't come. That's why I was feeling a little down...)

He said making him smile.

"Arre Maine hi tumhari bhabhi ko bola tha tumne jooth kehne ko..."

(I was the one who told your wife to make up a lie...)

"WHAT? Lekin tum ne aisa kyu kiya?"

(WHAT? but why did you do this?)

He asked, furrowing his brows, making Keshav gulp.

"Voh main tumhe surprise dena chahata tha na isilye..."

(I wanted to give you a surprise, that's why...)

Keshav said in a low voice with an innocent face.

"Mujhe laga tum sach mein nahi aye, jao main tumse baat nahi karta."

(I thought you really didn't come, so fine, I won't talk to you)

Janak said turning sideways, while folding his arms making Keshav smile.

He started thinking of an idea to convince him and suddenly got one.

"Kaahe khafa aise, chulbul se bulbul?

Kaahe na tu maane batiyaan, haaye?"

(Why are you upset, like a playful nightingale?  Why don't you listen to the words, oh dear?)

Keshav started singing while looking at Janak, gently holding his chin and turning his face toward him, noticing his cheeks turn red as he blushed.

"Kaahe pada peechhe? Jaane de, bairi

Main jaanoon kya tohri ghatiyaan, haaye"

(Why are you behind me? Let it be, my foe.  What do I know of your deceitful ways, oh dear?)

He continued the song, singing in a soft, playful girlish voice,

"Kal mile, ho, kal mile, haaye

Kal mile, eeh humka bhool gaye aaj reHaaye, dagabaaz re, haaye, dagabaaz re

Tohre naina bade dagabaaz re..."

(See you tomorrow, yes, see you tomorrow, hi."We met yesterday but forgot todayAlas, you traitor, alas, you traitor!Your eyes are very treacherous...)

Keshav sang dramatically, placing his hand on Janak's waist, and began swaying, making the moment feel like a couple's dance.

"Arre baas pagal, Kya kar rahe toh tum, chodo mujhe..."

(Hey it's  enough you crazy, what are you doing, leave me)

Janak laughed, playfully hitting Keshav's chest, which made Keshav burst into laughter as well.

"Tumhe kaise laga ki main important meeting ke liye, tum se milne nahi aaunga, tum mere liye sabse important ho Janak, yeh important meetings vagehra toh kuch bhi nahi hai, tumhare aage."

(How did you think that I wouldn't come to meet you for an important meeting? You are the most important to me, Janak. These important meetings and all are nothing compared to you.)

Keshav said to him, while placing his hand on his shoulder, making him a bit emotional.

"Arre bas kar pagal, rulayega kya?"

(Hey, stop it, you idiot, will you make me cry?)

Janak said and hugged him.

"Accha hua yahan tumhari aur meri biwi nahi hai, varna kya hi izzat reh jati."

(Good thing neither your wife nor mine is here, otherwise, our dignity would have been completely lost.)

"Haan yeh baat toh tumne bilkul sahi kaaaaa..."

(Yes, you said this absolutely right...)

Janak words died in his throat as he saw two women standing in the hallway, watching their drama unfold.

"Keshu...Keshu peeche dekho."

(Keshu...Keshu look back)

(Mujhe pata hai vote nahi kiya aap logon ne, challo jaldi se bottom-left corner mein like button click kar do mere pyaare readers 🌚.)

"Kya hua? Aisa lag raha hai jaise koi bhoot dekh liya ho tumne"

(What happened? You look like you've seen a ghost.)

Keshav said and turned around, but froze in place when he saw his bhabhi glaring at them, looking shocked. His wife stood there too, staring at them in shock, but with a more weird expression on her face

"Ohhhh, toh yahan yeh sab chal raha hai."

(Ohhhh, so this is what going on here.)

Sunaina said sarcastically, looking at both men, whose faces were now flushed with embarrassment.

"Main jab yahan se gai tab Bhaiya bade udaas lag rahe the, abb dekho inka chehra toh phul se bhi Khila khila dikh raha hai."

(When I left from here, Bhaiya seemed really sad, but now look at his face, it's looking as bright and blooming as a flower.)

Nandini also said sarcastically, making both men feel like they wanted to dig a hole and hide in it.

"Jab main rooth jati hun, toh apko sorry borne mein itni dikkat hoti hai, aur yahan apne bestie ko manane ke liye gaane ga rahe ho, Wahh"

(When I get upset, you find it so difficult to say sorry, and here you are, singing to cheer up your bestie. Wow!)

Nandini said glaring at her husband.

"Baby, aisi koi baat na..."

(Baby, there's nothing like tha..)

"Accha, fir kaisi baat hai"

(Alright, then what's the matter?)

"Voh..."

(Um..)

He said finding the right words to convince her, but was unsuccessful.

"Aur aap, mujhe nahi pata tha, ki aap ruthne ke baad itni jaldi maan bhi jaate hain."

(And you, I didn't know that after getting upset, you make up so quickly.)

She asked coldly, making him gulp

"A..a..arre nahi baby, main kabhi tumse naraz hua hun kya?"

(Ah... no baby, have I ever been upset with you?)

He asked with an innocent face, which only fueled her anger and jealousy even more.

"Accha, itni jaldi bhool gaye kya? Kuch din pehle aapko business party mein jana aur mera maan nahi tha, toh aap mujhse naraz ho gaye the aur 2 din tak baat bhi nahi ki thi mujhe."

(Oh, have you forgotten so quickly? A few days ago, you had to go to a business party, and I didn't feel like going, so you got upset with me and didn't talk to me for two days.)

She said, making him gulp as he remembered everything.

"Nandini di, Let's go and let them continue their drama"

Sunaina said in a sarcastic tone, making both of the men tense, cause they know, once their wives are angry with them, it's not easy to convince them.

"Let's go babes..."

Nandini said, and both of them started exiting the hallway, making the two men nervous and panicked at the same time.

"Arre, Baby/Naina meri baat toh suno, ruk jao"

(Hey, Baby/Naina, listen to me, stop!)

Both of the men said this at the same time, urging their wives to stop, but they were in no mood to listen and walked away angrily.

"Shit yaar, dekho Keshu tumhari wajah se meri biwi mujhse naraz ho gai."

(Shit, man, look, Keshu, because of you, my wife is angry with me)

Janak said to Keshav.

"Accha ji, aab mujhe doshi therra rahe ho tum, aur sirf tumhari hi nahi meri biwi bhi mujhse naraz hai."

(Oh really, now you're making me the culprit? And it's not just your wife, mine is also angry with me.)

"Sab tumhari hi galati hai, na hi tum gaana gaate, aur nahi hi humein voh dekhti."

(It's all your fault. If you hadn't sung the song, she wouldn't have looked at us.)

Keshav said in a panicked voice.

"Accha? Maza toh gaane ka tum bhi pura le rahe the."

(Oh, really? You were also fully enjoying the song.)

Keshav said, making Janak's cheek turn red.

"Voh... voh... tum gaa rahe the, toh main bhi beh gaya tha yaar."

(Well... well... you were singing, so I got carried away too, man.)

He said, in an embarrassed tone.

"Ohh, toh tum beh gaaye thee."

(Ohh, so you got carried away.)

He said, in a teasing voice.

"Arre, faltu baat chhodo aur jo hum dono ki ardhangini hum se rooth gayi hain, unko chal ke mana lein."

(Hey, forget the pointless talk, and let's go and make up with our wives who are upset with us.)

Keshav said in a panicked voice.

"Arre haan, main toh unke bare mein bhool hi gaya tha."

(Oh yes, I had completely forgotten about them.)

He said with widened eyes.

"Haan toh, idhar khade khade mera muh kya dekh rahe ho? Chalo, jaldi se."

(Yeah, so what are you standing here looking at my face for? Come on, quickly.)

He said, pulling his arm.

"Haan, chalo chalte hain, isse pehle ki mamla aur bigad jaaye."

(Yeah, let's go, before the situation gets worse.)

Keshav said, and Janak nodded his head in approval. Then both of them exited to find their wives, while thinking about how to convince them.

Meanwhile other family members :

"Arre meri Sangeeta cutie kahan ho?"

(Hey, where are you, my Sangeeta cutie?)

A beautiful woman in her early 50s, wearing an elegant saree with a stunning gold necklace, long beautiful earrings, and a lovely gajra in her hair, was calling—almost shouting—to call her best friend, who was more like a sister to her.

"Sandhaya, kaise ho tum meri pyaari bhen?"

(Sandhya, how are you, my dear sister?)

Sangeeta came running and excitedly hugged Sandhya, her joy evident in the way she embraced her like a long-lost sister.

"Main toh bilkul thik hun, abb tumko dekh liya, abb aur acchi ho gai."

(I'm absolutely fine, and now that I have seen you, I'm even better!)

She said, winking at Sangeeta, causing her cheeks to turn red.

"Vaise ek baat bolu? Tum pehle se aur bhi hot aur sexy ho gai ho."

(By the way, can I say something? You've become even hotter and sexier than before.)

Sandhya said eyeing her from head to toe, turning Sangeeta's face as red as a tomato.

"Omg Sandhaya, tum zindagi mein kuch bhi chod sakti ho, baas mujse flirt karne ke alava."

(Omg Sandhya, you could give up anything in life, but not flirting with me.)

She said, shaking her head while smiling slightly, her face still as red as a tomato.

"Voh toh hai, Vaise yeh sab chodo, mere paka bohot sari baatein hain tumhe batane ke liye."

(That's true. Anyway, forget all that, I have so much to tell you!)

She said excitedly.

"Arre haan, mere papas bhi bohot sari baatein hain."                                                                                                                       (Oh yes, I also have a lot of exciting things to share!)

"Kya baatein ho rahi, hai dono behno mein?

(What are these two sisters talking about?)

A man in his mid-50s, wearing a creamy white kurta with a white kameez and shiny cream-coloured juttis, approached the two women.

"Namaste Hemant bhaiya, kaise hain aap?"

(Hello Brother, how are you?)

"Main toh bilkul accha hun Sangeeta behen baas mera saathi miljaye, fir main aur bhi accha ho jaunga."

(I am absolutely fine, Sangeeta sister. Just need my partner, then I will be even better.)

He said it dramatically, making both women laugh at his act.

"Haan kyu nahi, voh bhi toh subha se aap ka hi wait kar rahe hain."

(Yes, why not? He has been waiting for you since morning.)

"Accha aisi baat hai, toh main unse jaake mil leta hun"

(Oh, is that so? Then I'll go meet him.)

"Haan bilkul, jaiye unse mil lijiye, voh living room main apka wait kar rahe hain."

(Yes, absolutely. Go ahead and meet him, he's waiting for you in the living room.)

"Thik hai fir min jata hun, you ladies can continue your talk"

(Alright then, I will go. You ladies can continue your talk.)

He said with a smile and turned around, heading for the living room.

"Accha Sangdhaya, muje tumse bohot saari baatein karni hai, chalk tumhari bedroom mein chal ke baatein karte hain"

(Alright Sangeeta, I have a lot to talk to you about. Come, let's go to your bedroom and talk.)

"Haan, yeh sahi rahega, chalo chalte hain."

(Yes, that would be good. Let's go.)

Both women left for the bedroom to have a nice, long talk.

Meanwhile the living room :

He many entered the living room and found a man sitting on the sofa, dressed in a yellow kurta and white kameez, with white juttis. He had one leg crossed over the other and was scrolling through his phone, completely unaware of Hemant's presence.

"Ahmmm"

Hemant cleared his throat, grabbing the man's attention.

"Arre Manoj, tum a gaye?"

(Hey Hemant, you came?)

He said with wide eyes, immediately tossed his phone onto the sofa, and rushed to hug him.

"Kaise ho tum mere bhai? Main kab se tumhara intezaar kar raha tha."

(How are you, my brother? I've been waiting for you for a long time.)

Manor said after breaking the hug.

"Arre baas abb kya kahu, ladies taiyaar hone mein itna time lagati hai, iss wajah se hum yahan 1 and half hour late pahunche."

(Arre, what can I say? The ladies take so long to get ready, that's why we got here one and a half hours late.)

He said dramatically, making Manoj laugh at his antics.

"Manoj, tum bilkul nahi badle, purre ke purre dramebaaz ho tum."

(Hemant, you haven't changed at all, you're still the same total drama king.)

"Haan, aur main kabhi badlunga bhi nahi."

(Yes, and I will never change.)

He said making Manoj smile at his sweet words.

"Accha yeh sab chodo, yeh batao ki tumhara kaam kaisa chal raha hai."

(Alright, enough of this. Tell me, how is your work going?)

Hemant asked Manoj.

"Bhai, kaam vagera toh sab accha chal raha hai, tum batao, tumhara kaam kaisa chal raha hai."

(Brother, work and everything else is going well. You tell me, how is your work going?)

Manoj asked Hemant

"Baas, Bhagwan ki kripa se mera bhi kaam accha chal raha hai."

(By God's grace, my work is also going well.)

Hemant said to Manoj.

"Chalo sab accha hi chalna chahiye."

(Well, everything should be going well.)

Manoj said, and both best friends continued their conversation with each other.

Meanwhile in the Main Hallway :

"Arre suno toh sahi, Sunaina baby, let me explain..."

(Hey, listen, Sunaina baby, let me explain...)

Janak said, trailing behind his wife, who was pointedly ignoring him.

"Ruko meri jaan, meri baat toh suno."

(Wait, my love, just listen to me.)

Keshav said, trailing behind his wife, who was deliberately ignoring his presence.

"Nandini, tum baitho, muje na lunch ke liye custard bana hai, main thodi dear mein bana ke aai."

(Nandini, you sit down, I need to make custard for lunch. I'll be back in a little while with it.)

Sunaina said to Nandini.

"Accha toh tum chahti ho ki tum kaam karo aur main saith ki tarah aaram karu, pagal! Tumhe kya lagta hai, tumhe kaam karte dekh, main chain se baith sakti hoon? Chal, dono saath milke custard banate hain, uske baad mummies ke paas jaayenge aur gappein ladaenge."

(So, you want me to do all the work while you relax like a queen? Are you crazy? Do you think I can sit back and relax while watching you work? Come on, let's both make the custard together, and after that, we'll go to Mumma's and gossip to our heart's content.)

Nandini said, dragging her into the kitchen, and started making the custard, while the two poor men stood by, innocently watching them. Both women completely ignored them, leaving the men pouting in silence.

After 10 minutes :

They were making the custard together and had already finished it when suddenly Sunaina realized something.

"Oh no, Nandini! Main toh kitni der se Mahika aur Radhika ko dekhne nahi gayi, pata nahi kya kar rahi hongi. Waise, ek baat batao, maine apne bacchon Abhimaan aur Akhil ko kahin nahi dekha. Kahan pe hain?"

(Oh no, Nandini! I haven't gone to check on Mahika and Radhika for so long, I wonder what they must be doing. By the way, tell me, I haven't seen my kids Abhimaan and Akhil anywhere. Where are they?)

Sunaina said to Nandini

"Voh dono toh apne Nana aur Nani se milne gaye hai, keh rahe the ki bohot yaad aa rahi hai unki, baas thodi der mein aate hi honge, tum jaake bacchion ko check karne jao, baaki custard ban gaya hai, main zara isse cover karke freezer main laga deti hun."

(They both went to meet their grandparents. They were saying that they miss them a lot. They'll probably be back in a little while. You go check on the kids. As for the custard, it's ready. I'll just cover it and put it in the freezer.)

Nandini said to Sunaina

"Accha baby, tum isse cover karke rakh do, main zara bacchion ko check karke aai."

(Alright, baby, you cover this and keep it. I'll go check on the kids and be right back.)

Sunaina winked at Nandini, blew her a flying kiss, and then started moving toward the kids' bedroom, which made Nandini chuckle at her tactics.

"Yeh kabhi nahi sudheragi."

(She'll never change.)

She chuckled as she covered the big bowl of custard, when suddenly someone hugged her waist from behind, making her flinch. He then snuggled his face into the crook of her neck.

"What do you think you are doing Keshav?"

Nandini asked, her breath heavy, as his breath brushed against her neck.

"What do you think i am doing?"

He whispered softly, then began planting wet kisses along her neck, making her feel weak on her  knees.

She broke the hug and turned back to face him, only to see his innocent face, as if he hadn't done anything just a few seconds earlier.

"Yahan kya kar rahe ho aap abb? Jaiye apne bestie ke paas, unhi ko maniye jake abb."

(What are you doing here now? Go to your bestie, go convince them instead.)

She said to her husband with a sarcastic tone and resumed the work she was doing,

After a few seconds, she felt a finger poking her left arm. She turned around to see him pouting, his puppy eyes gazing at her—her biggest weakness.

"Oh god, main tumse naraaz kyu nahi reh sakti?"

(Oh God, why can't I stay mad at you?)

She smiled in defeat, making Keshav giggle, and he hugged her tightly, which she gladly returned.

Meanwhile in the corridor:

Sunaina was peacefully walking through the corridor, murmuring "lalalalalala", when suddenly she flinched and screamed in fear as someone grabbed her wrist and threw her over his shoulder, heading toward their bedroom.

"Kya kar rahe hain aap Janak? Chodiye mujhe niche utariye mujhe."

(What are you doing, Janak? Let me go, put me down!)

She said, hitting his back with her small fists, which, of course, didn't affect his strong, bulky body in the slightest.

Within seconds, they were in their bedroom. After entering, he locked the door, then moved toward the bed and gently placed her on it. She had her eyes closed as he hovered over her.

She then opened her eyes to meet his dark orbs, which were filled with jealousy, love, and a lasting desire.

"It's been 19 minutes and 48 seconds since you've been ignoring me. Care to explain why?"

He asked, placing wet kisses along her chin and jawline, which made her head fall back, giving him more access and causing her toes to curl in pleasure.

"Voh aap Keshav bhaiya se itni chipak rake the so that's why i was a bit jealou—Ahhh"

(He was so close to Keshav bhaiya, that's why I was a bit jealous—Ahhh!)

She moaned loudly as he bit her neck, leaving a hickey. Then, he moved down, resting his head on her chest, listening to her heartbeat.

"Oh my god, tum uss wajah se mujhe itni der se ignore kar rahi thi kya?"

(Oh my God, were you ignoring me for so long because of that?)

He asked in an irritated voice.

"Yes, that's the only reason I was ignoring you."

She said, pouting, which made him smile and plant a soft kiss on her lips, as she looked absolutely adorable.

"I am sholly, Naina baby."

He said in a childish voice, making her smile as she hugged him and started caressing his hair, then said.

"Koi baat nahi my big baby, it's okay."

(No problem, my big baby. It's okay.)

She said sweetly, making him smile at her cuteness too.

"Accha, abb utho aur mere saath bacchon ke room mein chalo, fir mujhe Nandini ke paas jana hai, fir hu, dono mumma ke room mein jaake unse thodi baatein karni hai."

(Alright, now get up and come with me to the kids room. Then I need to go to Nandini, and after that, I have to visit both moms' room to chat with them for a while.)

She said, indicating for him to get up, and he did so immediately.

"Apko tension lene ki zaroorat nahi hai, main apse pehle bacchon ko check kar ke aaya hun, voh dono saath mein movie dekh rahe hain "Frozen 2" , toh apko tension lene ki zaroorat nahi hai, aap Nandini Bhabhi ke paas jao, aur main Keshav ko leke living room mein jata hun, jahan papa baithe hain."

(You don't need to worry. I checked on the kids before you, and they're both watching the movie 'Frozen 2' together, so there's no need to stress. You go to Nandini Bhabhi, and I'll take Keshav to the living room where Dad is sitting.)

"Thank you so much baby, aab main jati hun."

(Thank you so much, baby. Now, I'm going.)

She started heading for the door but stopped midway when he called her. She turned to him to listen to what he wanted to say.

"Baby, tumhari neck pe bite bohot acchi lag rahi hai."

(Baby, the bite on your neck looks really good.)

He said, smirking at her, which she returned with a glare.

"Oh god, tumhari wajah se abb mera kitna time waste hoga."

(Oh God, how much time will be wasted because of you now?)

She said angrily moving toward the dressing table, which made him laugh.

"Abb tum haas rahe ho, I hate you."

(Now you're laughing, I hate you.)

He stood behind her, back-hugged her smiling, kissed her cheek, and said,

"I love you too"

These words made her smile too.

After 1 and half hour:

Now, all of them were sitting together, having a pleasant family conversation after sharing their own gossip.

As they were talking, they heard footsteps approaching the living room, and all of them shifted their attention to the person. They saw a beautiful girl walking toward them, wearing a bright yellow suit and yellow juttis, which enhanced her beauty. Everyone in the living room was in awe as they watched her.

"Aap sab to meri taraf se namaste"

(Namaste from my side to all of you.)

She said it so sweetly and politely, that it stole everyone's heart.

First, she went near Manoj and Sandhaya and greeted them.

"Namaste, Dada ji aur Dadi ji."

She bent down and was about to touch Dada Ji's feet first, but he immediately stopped her, bent down to her level, and said,

"Betiyaan paon nahi chhuti, Radhika bacche. Betiyon ka sthan toh hriday mein hota hai."

(Daughters do not touch the feet, my child. The place of daughters is in the heart.)

He said this and hugged her tightly, kissing her forehead.

Radhika then greeted everyone warmly and lastly sat near Nandini, as Nandini considered Radhika as her own daughter and loved to talk to her.

"Bohot pyaar karte ho na tum apni pauti se?"

(You love your granddaughter a lot, don't you?)

Manoj said to Hemant as he noticed that Hemant was admiring his granddaughter the moment she stepped in.

"Sach kaha tumne, main bohot pyaar karta hun apni pauti se, itni ki tum soch bhi nahi sakte."

(You're right, I love my granddaughter a lot, more than you can imagine.)

Hemant said to Manoj with a tone full of love for his granddaughter, which made Manoj smile warmly.

"Main uss din san kuch khone wala tha, apni company, paisa, investment, sab kuch, lekin jiss pal Radhika ka janam hua, mano koi chamatkaar hua ho, Radhika ke janam lete hi 30 minute baad mujhe mere secretary ka call aya ki foreign companies are requesting us, ki hum unke saath partnership karein, main uss din bilkul chauk gaya tha."

(I was about to lose everything that day — my company, money, investments, everything. But the moment Radhika was born, it felt like a miracle. Just 30 minutes after her birth, I got a call from my secretary saying that foreign companies were requesting us to partner with them. I was completely stunned that day.)

"Main apni pauti ko sirf isilye pyaar nahi ki unse meri company bachai, balki meri iccha thi ki mere ghar pauti ho, Radikha ke shush kadam padhte hi, yaar kaam accha hone laga, bina kisi rukavat ke."

(I don't love my granddaughter just because she saved my company, but because it was my wish to have a granddaughter in my home. The moment Radhika took her first steps, everything started falling into place, and work began improving without any obstacles.)

"Jo har a-mangal karya har le  aur jo iss pure vishva mein Ghrina ki kadvahat mita kar prem ka ras failaaye voh hai meri pauti.....Radhika."

(She who turns every inauspicious task into success, and who, by removing the bitterness of hatred from this entire world, spreads the nectar of love, is my granddaughter... Radhika.)

Hemant said, smiling widely, which made Manoj smile as well.

All the relatives arrived at Shekhawat Mansion to celebrate the birth of the little girl, and soon, everyone was seated together in the garden.

The newborn baby was in Sangeeta's lap, and Sunaina stood nearby, ready to assist her daughter if she needed anything.

Hemant and Janak stood in front as the relatives were giving suggestions for the little girl's name.

"Hemant ji, Ladki ka naam "Dharika" rakh do."

(Hemant ji, name the girl 'Dharika'.)

A man said sitting on the chair.

"Haan, sahi kaha, Dhara — jo ek hi disha mein behti hai, yani ki sidi sadhi, ladki."

(Yes, that's correct, Dhara — one who flows in a single direction, meaning a simple and straightforward girl.)

Other man said, supporting him.

"Nahi, Dhara toh beh jati hai, aur meri pauti beh ne ke liye nahi, ras failaane ke liye paida hui hai."

(No, a river flows, but my granddaughter was born not to flow, but to spread love.)

Hemant said, making everyone fall silent.

Then he went near his wife, took the baby girl from her, and carefully carried her in his arms as he walked toward the relatives.

"Joh beh jaaye voh dhara, aur jo iss duniya ki dhara hi badal de...voh Radha."

(What flows is a river, and what changes the course of this world's river... is Radha.)

"Toh aaj se meri pauti ka naam hoga...Radhika."

(From today, my granddaughter's name will be... Radhika.)

Hemant announced to everyone, making the relatives shocked by the name he had chosen for his grand-daughter.

"Aap yeh mere liye laaye?"

(Did you bring this for me?)

She asked him excitedly.

"Haan, apko payal aur gajra bohot pasand hai na? Toh maine socha ki apke liye le lun."

(Yes, you really like payals and gajras, right? So, I thought I'd get them for you.)

He said smiling softly.

"Thank you so much"

She hugged him unintentionally, making his heart skip a beat.

"Tum kabhi meri baat nahi mante."

(You never listen to me.)

She said, pouting angrily, and folded her arms.

She said, making him smile, and suddenly, he came near her and kissed her cheek, turning her into a tomato with shyness.
